Ways to Help with Wildfire Relief 09/11/20

by Msgr. Robert Siler
Bishop Joseph Tyson today joined Father Roy Gutiérrez, pastor of St. Anne Parish in Bridgeport, to help in the disaster relief efforts underway there following the terrible fires earlier this week.  Both the Diocese and Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington are supporting these efforts in the following ways:
First, Catholic Charities is accepting donations of needed items in Yakima and the Tri-Cities Saturday and Monday and they will be delivered early next week with the help of our Migrant Ministry van. Click on the following link, or at the end of this message, for more details:
Second, there is now an online giving option for the diocesan Wildfire Relief Fund. Immediate aid will be prioritized for Bridgeport.
Depending on the amount of donations we receive, we also will look to help the surrounding communities both in the Yakima and Spokane dioceses, as well as any communities in our diocese affected by new wildfires; and finally, possible aid to others suffering from wildfires in the state.
Donations also can be mailed to:

Let’s continue to pray for all those affected by wildfires and other natural disasters in our diocese, state, nation, and the world.
