Fr. Gerry Chapdelaine, S.J. is a Yakima native and entered the Society of Jesus in Sheridan, Oregon in 1953, after graduating from Marquette High School. He studied philosophy at Gonzaga University and theology at Alma College. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1966 in Spokane. He was the minister, superior and director of retreats at Loyola Jesuit Retreat House in Portland, Oregon from 1968 – 1980. He is currently the Chaplain at Bellarmine Preparatory School in Tacoma guiding the varsity football and basketball teams. He is also the Chaplain of the Franciscan Sisters in Tacoma. |
