Diocesan Youth Convention 2019 - Archived

Scripture tells us to “pray without ceasing.” Our Church exhorts us to spread the Gospel so that all may know God’s love.
But when we are young, our resources are limited, and the world seem to be against us, how can we possibly carry out this
mission? We are getting busier and busier with “to-do” lists that seem never-ending. All of a sudden, 10 minutes of prayer
or an invitation to Mass seems to be “just another thing” to add on to the list. We are thrilled to announce our 2019 Diocesan Youth Convention, Make a Ruckus! Based on Pope Francis’ recent Apostolic Exhortation to Youth, Christus Vivit (English|Spanish), we hope to urge teens to ground their lives in relationship with Christ so that He can work through us as his disciples to change the world.

This year’s DYC will take place at St. Joseph–Sunnyside, (907 South 6th Street, Sunnyside, WA 98944 ) beginning on November 1st at 7PM and concluding on Sunday the 3rd at noon. Daily Mass is planned into the schedule.

The conference cost is:
$45/ youth, chaperone, group leaders for regular registration from October 14th – October 20th
$50/ youth, chaperone, group leaders for late registration October 21st – November 1st

The cost includes participation in the conference, t-shirt, lunch and dinner on Saturday and lodging. You may adjust these
fees if you want to account for other costs (breakfast/snacks for your group throughout the weekend, travel costs, other
supplies, etc.) for your youth group. An invoice will be sent to your parish after the event.
