Very Reverend Fr. Jesús Mariscal is currently serving at St. Paul Cathedral in Yakima as the Parochial Vicar. He also serves as the Director of Seminarians, Migrant Ministry Supervisor, and Judge at the Diocesan Tribunal. He was Ordained on July 03, 2018, at Christ the King Church, in Richland. His first assignment was at St. Joseph’s parish in Kennewick for three months as one of the Parochial Vicars. He was then assigned to further studies in Canon Law at Gregorian University in Rome. While finishing his degree, he had the unique opportunity to serve as a Sacristan at St Peter’s Basilica for the summer of 2019.

Michael Kelly was born August 27, 1996, the third child of Jeff and Amy Kelly. He was raised in Western Washington in the booming metropolis of Black Diamond. Fr. Michael Kelly has attended Mt. Angel college, Seminario Hispano, and is a graduate of Mundelein Seminary. He currently holds a bachelor’s in philosophy, master’s in Divinity and a Sacred Theology Bachilerato from Rome. He is currently a parochial vicar at Holy Family Parish in Yakima, Washington.

Eduardo Chávez was born on September 10, 1987, in the city of Puebla, Mexico, he is the third son of Francisco Chávez and Aida Puente. He grew up in the city of Yonkers, originally belonging to the Archdiocese of New York. In 2008 he entered the religious community of missionary’s servants of the Word, completing 5 years of missionary formation. After much discernment he discovered that his vocation was diocesan life. He studied philosophy and theology at the Hispanic Seminary of Santa María de Guadalupe in Mexico City, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Theology. He is currently a parochial vicar at Christ the King in Richland, Washington.

Very Rev. Alex Trejo

Very Rev. Alejandro Trejo was born and raised in Mexico City. He is currently serving as a pastor at St. Andrews Parish in Ellensburg, WA. He was ordained on 5/23/2003 in Yakima. Fr. Alex studied philosophy at the Institute of Priest Formation in the Archdiocese of Mexico. He studied Theology at St. Patrick’s seminary in Menlo Park California, where he also received his master’s degree in Divinity. He received his diploma in Liturgy at the Universidad de Pontificia de Mexico. He received his diploma in Homiletics in Chicago at Our Lady of the Lake University. Fr. Alex enjoys fishing, painting, and reading books.

Rev. Lalo Barragán

Very Rev. Lalo Barragán is currently serving as a Pastor at Our Lady of the Desert Parish in Mattawa, Washington. He was ordained on May 23, 2014, at Holy Family Church, in Yakima. He served three years as the associate pastor at St. Joseph in Yakima and one year (simultaneously) as an associate pastor at Holy Rosary in Moxee, WA. He was transferred for five years to Mount Angel Seminary where he served as a Formator, teacher, and mentor to many seminarians. He became the very first (ever) Hispanic diocesan priest to become the Vice-rector at the already mentioned institution.
