Part- Time Paraprofessional – St. Joseph Catholic School, Kennewick

St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Kennewick is seeking a paraprofessional aide for the elementary classroom, Monday through Thursday. The paraprofessional instructional aide will work alongside the classroom teacher to support student learning, working one-on-one with students as well as with groups of students, under the direction of the classroom teacher. Full-Time Bookkeeper – St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kennewick WA

We are accepting resumes for the position of a full-time bookkeeper in our parish/school/child center. The bookkeeper position’s responsibilities include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax preparation and administration and Diocesan finance policy and procedure accountability.  There may be other assignments of accounting analysis aside from the above that the pastor may require occasionally.  The candidate needs to have at least 2 years of bookkeeping training (i.e. Business college degree or A.A. with emphasis in Accounting). B.S. in accounting or business is preferred, but not required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.  Candidates must provide evidence and/or a level of capacity to perform these tasks including satisfactory completion of a bookkeeping exam. This includes but is not limited to tasks such as classroom management, lesson planning, collegial collaboration, accurately evaluating the academic and social growth of students and providing timely feedback, adhering to and upholding the school discipline policy, and maintaining parent communication. In addition to the general teaching requirements, instructional expectations are listed below:

  • Effectively teach WA State grade level and diocesan religion standards.
  • Develop in each student the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing as they relate to the content areas you teach.
  • Develop students’ ability to think critically.
  • Focus on the development of the whole child within the policies of Christ the King Catholic School and the Diocese of Yakima

Full- Time School Nurse- Christ the King Catholic School, Richland

The school nurse oversees the emotional, mental, physical, and social health of students, and provides students with basic health services throughout the school day. The nurse also manages student health plans for those who have chronic health conditions. This includes dispensing medication as needed and working with parents and teachers to create and enforce care plans.

Full- time Middle School Faith Formation Coordinator/ Campus Minister, Christ the King Parish, Richland

The Middle School Faith Formation Coordinator/ Campus Youth Minister coordinates all middle school faith formation and youth ministry activities for youth in grades 6-8 for Christ the King Catholic Parish and Christ the King Catholic School. Recognizing the importance of faith formation, this coordinator extends outreach and support to the entire body of Christ the King Catholic School. This position also requires coordination with other members of the religious education staff and school administration to ensure the efficiency, longevity and vibrancy of the program.

Qualification:

  • Active, practicing, confirmed Catholic in good standing with the Church
  • Knowledgeable of Catholic teaching and willing to continue education in the Catholic faith
  • Bachelors Degree and/or 5 years experience in youth ministry.

Youth Minister– St. Joseph Parish, Wenatchee, WA

St. Joseph Parish, WA is seeking to hire a full time energetic Youth Minister. The candidate must be an active Roman Catholic who will model and passionately encourage our youth in Catholic gospel living and Catholic identity. The candidate must have an undergraduate degree and have a minimum of two to five years’ experience in Roman Catholic parish ministry.

A successful candidate will have a strong background in theology, scripture and moral Catholic teachings.

We are seeking a dynamic candidate whose responsibility is the planning and development of the Parish Youth Ministry Program including High School and Middle School youth. Essential job functions would be the ability to develop, coordinate and implement youth programs, faith formation and catechesis, Confirmation preparation, youth retreats, liturgies, and service opportunities.

Full-time lead Pre-3/Pre-K teacher/Part-time Assistant Teachers – St. Patrick School, Pasco, Washington

St. Patrick Catholic School in Pasco, WA is seeking full-time lead Pre-3/Pre-K teacher and part time assistant teachers for both morning (7:45-11:45 am) and afternoon (11am-3pm). Times are approximate and will depend on cleaning of rooms for COVID plan between the sessions. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic and who has a degree and/or experience in Early Childhood Education, Preference will be given to a candidate with teaching certification and who has knowledge/experience with developmental approaches to teaching and learning. Position Summary:
PREPARES is an initiative of the Bishops of Washington state that is focused on developing support for families through the faith community. This position is responsible for the recruitment, and training of parish and community-based volunteers for PREPARES for the purpose of supporting pregnant and parenting women, families and their children up to age five. The position will coordinate with the Evangelization and Faith Formation Director with the Diocese of Yakima and Catholic Charities Parish Outreach Coordinator and other Catholic Charities programs for client referrals and resources.
