ACA Bookkeeper and Database Specialist – Yakima Pastoral Center

The Diocese of Yakima has an opening for a full-time ACA Bookkeeper and Database Specialist. The candidate will assist on data entry and management reporting using the Raisers Edge application for the diocesan fundraising efforts and provide secretarial support for the Stewardship and Development Director. The candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly/quarterly/annually billing statements for the following fundraising efforts: (a) Annual Catholic Appeal, and (b) Bishop’s Founders Circle. This position requires confidentiality and meticulous accuracy in all matters. A 2-year post-secondary education in Business Administration and/or bookkeeper related field is preferred but not required. Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply.

Part-time Custodian- Christ the Teacher Catholic School, Yakima, WA 

Christ the teacher is looking to fill the position of a part-time custodian. The Custodian is directly responsible for keeping the school, gym clean and sanitized. The Custodian will follow a routine schedule that addresses cleaning and sanitizing as needed on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. This schedule will be approved by the supervisor. The Custodian assists in preparing classrooms for daily use, and will work in conjunction with the full time custodian and maintenance individual on certain assignments.

Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant – Calvary Cemetery Yakima WA

Calvary Cemetery and Monument has a full-time position open for a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant. The Bookkeeper position’s duties include bookkeeping responsibilities (payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax preparation and administration), and Diocesan finance policy and procedure accountability. The Administrative Assistant responsibilities include assisting the Director of the cemetery in various cemetery responsibilities as needed, including greeting customers. Must be pleasant and professional. There may be other assignments or accounting analysis aside from the above, that the Diocese or Director of the cemetery may require, occasionally.
The position will require a candidate who is a self-starter. At least 2 years of bookkeeping training, a B.S. in accounting or business is preferred as well as experience with QuickBooks software.

Full-Time Bookkeeper – St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kennewick WA

We are accepting resumes for the position of a full-time bookkeeper in our parish/school/child center. The bookkeeper position’s responsibilities include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax preparation and administration and Diocesan finance policy and procedure accountability.  There may be other assignments of accounting analysis aside from the above that the pastor may require occasionally.  The candidate needs to have at least 2 years of bookkeeping training (i.e. Business college degree or A.A. with emphasis in Accounting). B.S. in accounting or business is preferred, but not required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.  Candidates must provide evidence and/or a level of capacity to perform these tasks including satisfactory completion of a bookkeeping exam. Full-Time Auxiliary Math Teacher- Christ the King, Richland, WA

Christ the King Catholic School in Richland, WA is looking to fill a full-time math teaching position for the 2021-2022 school year. The auxiliary math teacher is responsible for supporting and upholding the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school, acting as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church, and facilitating a positive, effective, and welcoming learning environment. This includes but is not limited to tasks such as classroom management, lesson planning, collegial collaboration, adhering to and upholding the school discipline policy, and maintaining parent communication. In addition to the general teaching requirements, instructional expectations are listed below:

  • Effectively teaching grade level and math course standards.
  • Engaging students in their learning.
  • Teaching students to use and apply mathematical representations to solve problems.
  • Implementing tasks that promote reasoning and problem solving.

Youth Minister– St. Joseph Parish, Wenatchee, WA

St. Joseph Parish, WA is seeking to hire a full time energetic Youth Minister. The candidate must be an active Roman Catholic who will model and passionately encourage our youth in Catholic gospel living and Catholic identity. The candidate must have an undergraduate degree and have a minimum of two to five years’ experience in Roman Catholic parish ministry.

A successful candidate will have a strong background in theology, scripture and moral Catholic teachings.

We are seeking a dynamic candidate whose responsibility is the planning and development of the Parish Youth Ministry Program including High School and Middle School youth. Essential job functions would be the ability to develop, coordinate and implement youth programs, faith formation and catechesis, Confirmation preparation, youth retreats, liturgies, and service opportunities.

Candidates must have a passion to bring Christ to Catholic youth and encourage them in the development of a life- long relationship with Christ and his holy Catholic Church.

Full-time lead Pre-3/Pre-K teacher/Part-time Assistant Teachers – St. Patrick School, Pasco, Washington

St. Patrick Catholic School in Pasco, WA is seeking full-time lead Pre-3/Pre-K teacher and part time assistant teachers for both morning (7:45-11:45 am) and afternoon (11am-3pm). The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic and who has a degree and/or experience in Early Childhood Education, Preference will be given to a candidate with teaching certification and who has knowledge/experience with developmental approaches to teaching and learning. Position Summary:
PREPARES is an initiative of the Bishops of Washington state that is focused on developing support for families through the faith community. This position is responsible for the recruitment, and training of parish and community-based volunteers for PREPARES for the purpose of supporting pregnant and parenting women, families and their children up to age five. The position will coordinate with the Evangelization and Faith Formation Director with the Diocese of Yakima and Catholic Charities Parish Outreach Coordinator and other Catholic Charities programs for client referrals and resources.
