THE PURPOSE OF THE BISHOP’S ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL

The purpose of the Annual Catholic Appeal is to assist in the funding of the overall budget of the Diocese of Yakima. Combined with income from other funding sources, the Appeal enables Bishop Tyson to provide ministries, programs and services, which benefit parishes and the people of the Diocese.

The Annual Catholic Appeal provides approximately 40% of the total budget of the Diocese of Yakima and most of the money required for ministries, programs and services benefiting all parishes. The generosity of parishioners, expressed through the Annual Catholic Appeal, is essential for the Diocese to fulfill the mission of the Church.
